Are you really open 24 hours?
Yes. Open 24 hours, seven days a week, which is where the name comes from. Burst lines, gas smells and sewage backing up are the calls that cannot wait for business hours, so those are the ones to phone straight in rather than emailing.
What licence do you hold?
Kerry Doucet holds two Louisiana state licences: Master Plumber LMP7943 and Master Natural Gas Fitter LMNGF9438. Both are on the State Plumbing Board of Louisiana public register, and gas fitting is a separate credential from plumbing in this state.
Do you handle slab leaks?
Yes, and it is common work here because most of Acadiana is built on a slab. The leak is located first, then you get a choice between breaking through the slab at that one point to repair the line or re-routing the run overhead, with the trade-offs of each explained.
Will you show me what is wrong with my sewer line?
Yes. Sewer lines go on camera, and you see the footage. Roots, a bellied run, a collapse and a line that simply needed cleaning all look different, and they lead to very different repairs, so it is worth seeing rather than being told.
Do you pull permits and deal with the City?
Yes. On work that requires it we pull the permit and meet the City inspector, including gas tests. That is part of the job rather than something handed back to the homeowner or the builder.
Is the estimate free?
Yes, estimates are free. You get told what is wrong, what fixing it involves and the number before any work starts.
Do you do small jobs, or only big ones?
Small jobs are welcome. A dripping faucet, a running toilet or a disposal replacement is a normal call and is not treated as a nuisance.
